A: Each Lansinoh® pad can be used for up to 72 hours. Lansinoh® themselves have said, "Use of gel pads therapy should not exceed three weeks. If the condition persists, seek the advice of a breastfeeding specialist."

Q: Who should use Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads?
A: They are intended to provide instant cooling relief from cracked, painful or sore nipples so that moms that breastfeeding moms tend to suffer from in order to continue to breastfeed their little ones.

Q: How do I use the Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads?
A: One gel pad should be used per breast. The gel side of the pad is placed directly on the nipple between feeding or pumping sessions. Each set of gel breast pads can be used for up to 72 hours. Use of Soothies® therapy should not exceed three weeks. If the condition persists, seek the advice of a breastfeeding specialist.

Q: How do I store the Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads?
A: The packaging for the Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads comes with a storage tray. Please use this supplied tray between uses. You may also store these gel pads in the refrigerator to keep cool between uses.

Q: Can I use Lanolin Nipple Cream with Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads?
A: We do not recommend using Lanolin cream together with Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads. They are both designed to utilize moisture to promote soothing relief. However, should the skin surface become too moist, maceration may occur. If you are utilizing both lanolin and there is a little cream left over on your breast, no reaction will occur.

Q: Can Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads help with mastitis?
A: No. These breast gel pads are designed to alleviate symptoms caused by regular breastfeeding and pumping. If you are suffering from mastitis, we recommend that you consult with your GP or specialist immediately.

Q: Can I heat the Lansinoh® Soothies® Gel Pads?
A: No. They are intended to provide instant cooling relief for moms and heating them is NOT recommended.

Q: Does a warm compress help to increase breast milk?
A: Before breastfeeding or pumping, moms can apply a warm, moist compress to the breasts. Moist heat helps to increase circulation and open milk ducts which helps breast milk to start flowing during breastfeeding or pumping.
