Medela Tender Care™ Hydrogel Nipple Pads

The Medela® Tender Care™ Hydrogel Nipple Pads are the ultimate solution to help deal with sore or tender nipples. Breastfeeding is the most intimate bonding experience for a mother and her baby, however, during the first week or so, mothers may tend to experience nipple soreness and tenderness.

Over and above that, these hydrogel pads can create a buffer between your bra and you, providing further relief. The shape of the hydrogel pad is large enough to cover the entire area of ​​the nipple and areola, both of which can be affected by pain.

Regarding the composition of these pads, they are non toxic and do not contain any preservatives. As these pads are reusable for up to 24 hours, store them in a cool environment such as a fridge while reusing. 

How to apply and use

Before handling the Medela® Tender Care™ Hydrogel Nipple Pads, wash your hands thoroughly first. 

Open the packaging and remove the hydrogel pad from the plastic liner. Carefully place the gel side of the pad directly over the nipple. When you need to breastfeed your baby, simply remove the hydrogel pad and place it gel side up on a clean surface. Then gently wash your breast with warm water and dry before breastfeeding. When you are finished with breastfeeding, wash your hands again and make sure that they are dry, place the gel pad back as before.

In case the clear hydrogel pad becomes cloudy or milky during use, discard it and use a new one.
