Fisher & Paykel myAIRVO™ 2 Air Filter Replacements

The Fisher & Paykel myAIRVO™ 2 Air Filter is a device designed to help improve the quality of air delivered by your myAIRVO™ 2 High Flow Device during therapy.

The filter replacements are designed specifically to fit the myAIRVO™ 2 device, and act as a barrier between the machine's blower and the patient's airway, removing contaminants and bacteria that can affect the delivery of therapy as well as prevent possible infection to the user. In doing so, the air filter improves the overall safety and effectiveness of humidified high flow oxygen therapy and is easy to replace, ensuring that the user always has access to clean, filtered air during their treatment.

It is recommended to replace the myAIRVO™ 2 air filter every 3 months (or every 1000 hours of use) or as required to maintain optimal performance from the device. The device will alert you once 1000 hours of use have been exceeded. If you live in an area that tends to experience large amounts of dust or pollen, replacement of these air filters may be more frequent.

Follow these  7 easy steps when replace the myAIRVO™ 2 Air Filter:

1. The myAIRVO™ 2 display will prompt you on the screen after it has been switched on 1,000 times, indicating that an air filter replacement is due.


2. Remove from the filter holder at the back of the device and then remove the dirty filter.


3. Insert a new clean filter into the filter holder.


4. Reattach the filter holder by clipping the bottom of the filter holder first and rotating it upwards until the top clips into its place.


5. On the myAIRVO™ 2 screen go to the "Replace now" and press the Mode button.


6. Press the Up button to select “Now”.
   Confirm by pressing the Mode button.


7. The myAIRVO™ 2 hours counter will now reset to zero.

Please note that regarding point 5, if you select the "Later" option, the prompt will show every time the device is turned on until the replacement process has been completed and the counter resets itself to zero.
