The 3M™ Cavilon™ Unscented Skin Protectant Cream is a unique moisturizing barrier cream formulated with 3M polymers for patients at risk from incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). Concentrated, fragrance-free cream requires less frequent application and resists washing off, making care easier. Hypoallergenic formula contains dimethicone to better protect patients' skin. Compatible with chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and can be used with tapes and dressings. Sold as 2 Gram Individual Packets (20 ct. Box), 1 oz. Tube (48 ct. Case), or 3.5 oz. Tube (12 ct. Case).

A: We do not recommend use of these products in combination. Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film should not be used in combination with any cream, lotion, ointment or paste as it may becomegummy and the film will not perform as desired.

Q: How often do I need to reapply 3M™ Cavilon™ Unscented Skin Protectant Cream?
A: Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream will protect the skin through 3-4 cleansing episodes.

Q: Can 3M™ Cavilon™ Unscented Skin Protectant Cream be used on infants?
A: Yes.

A: Some ostomy patients use the product because they like the moisturization and they can
adhere the pouch over the cream. However, Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film will perform more effectively for peristomal applications.
