I ordered the "Oxlife LIBERTY2™

"I ordered the "Oxlife LIBERTY2™ Portable Oxygen Concentrator" because I need a smaller & lighter unit to travel with in our motorhome. The choice came down to this unit or the "Inogen At Home 5L Stationary Concentrator. " I chose the Oxlife Liberty 2 because it is also a portable unit, while the Inogen is not. The Liberty 2 is smaller, lighter and has a DC power option. Although my need is for O2 when sleeping, I figured this unit gave me more options, if needed. The Liberty 2 unit arrived, I plugged it in and learned…. This unit IS SO LOUD! I don’t know how it can possibly be considered a portable unit with that much noise. I measured with a sound meter and it was over 63 decibels. I just can't believe how loud this thing it. I truly can’t imagine anyone walking around with this unit in a public place. At home, I currently have a large stationary oxygen concentrator that it so loud I have to keep it down the hallway outside our bedroom. However, in a 5th wheel trailer RV, my O2 concentrator can't be very far from the bedroom - so the noise level matters. There is no way I could have this Liberty 2 unit in the hall right outside our bedroom. So I returned it and got the Inogen At Home 5L unit. What a difference in noise level! The Inogen is so quiet by comparison. It’s measured at about 40 decibels. Comparing that to the 63+ decibels of the Liberty 2, it’s like night and day. Note, the decibels are measured on a logarithmic scale, so the difference between 40 and 63 decibels is huge. Note, I ran both at 2L/min, which is the max level for the Liberty 2. I seemed the O2 I needed (used a pulse oximeter to measure). In the end, if noise doesn’t matter to you, the Liberty 2 may be a good choice. If noise does matter, then be aware of how loud this is. For my use, the noise level mattered, so I switched to the Inogen At Home 5L. So I rated this 3 stars, primarily for the noise level . cheers, c-"

"I received it a few days ago & when I walk upstairs my breathing isn't labored with the continuous flow. I like that you can switch to pulse also. There is a couple of things its alot heavier & when it's on continuous flow it's alot louder than on pulse & it only last 1hour & 30mins so you have to take your cords with you & I'm glad they gave a carrying bag to put the cords in. Overall it's doing the job I need it to do. I'm happy I can travel now."
