Will sounds be different using Lumen?
Yes. Sounds like running water, footsteps, paper rustling and even your own voice might sound strange to you in the beginning. If you've only just started wearing your hearing aids, remember that it takes a little while to get used to the feeling and sound of your hearing aids.
Your brain needs to grow accustomed to hearing sounds that it hasn't heard in a while and that's why they may sound strange in the beginning. You can adjust the volume level or opt to change the environmental program to create a comfortable listening experience.

Do I have to use the app?
It is very important to use the Lexie app to set up the hearing aids. It is particularly important to use the app for the Lexie Lumen self-fitting OTC hearing aids, because a hearing check is conducted to customize the hearing aids to your hearing loss profile. You will be able to adjust the volume and change between the different listening environments/programs by adjusting the buttons located on your hearing aids or via the Lexie app. Remember, if you would like to make any adjustments to your hearing aids through the app, you will need to ensure that your hearing aids are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
