FAQ's
FAQ's
Q: How do I use the Evenflo® Advanced Manual Breast Pump?
A: As per manufacturer: instructions \"To pump, simply start with a fast, short pumping motion to help stimulate your first milk release (letdown). As milk starts to flow, transition into a slower, longer pumping motion. If you need assistance, our team of Breastfeeding Experts are available for one-on-one pumping support.\"
Q: Why is my Evenflo® Advanced Manual Breast Pump not working properly?
A: As a simple first step, we recommend checking that your bra or nursing pad isn't caught between the underside of your breast and the flange, preventing the flange from forming a proper seal.
Q: My breast pump is losing suction. What can I do?
A: If you are experiencing low suction performance with your breast pump, please check the membranes and valves of the pump by doing the following:
- Begin by separating the membranes from the valves.
- Inspect the valves and membranes for damage, including cracks, chips, holes and make sure the parts fit correctly.
- Wash the valve and membrane using warm, soapy water. Allow parts to air dry completely before attempting reassembly.
- Reassemble your breast pump, ensuring that each piece fits snugly and lies flat.
Also check breast shields and breast pump connectors to make sure there are no cracks, and make sure they attach securely.
Q: How can you sterilize Evenflo® breast pump parts?
A: We have included a short video tutorial showing you to properly sterilize Evenflo® breast pump parts
Q: Is it acceptable to just rinse pump parts after a breast pumping session?
A: If you one that chooses to refrigerate pump parts between pumping sessions, you must rinse the parts first to remove milk residue. Keep the parts in a sealed bag to prevent any possible contamination. If you are in a position where rinsing is not possible, please wipe the milk residue off the parts with a clean, disposable paper towel.
